OUR MISSION: To help Christians and spiritual seekers become Gospel-driven followers of Christ.

OUR VISION:
To build a network of Gospel-driven communities in which...
...strugglers become hopeful...
...skeptics are attracted to Christ...
...religious people lose their religion...
...and Gospel-driven people become servants for the benefit of strugglers, skeptics, and religious people.

NATALIE WILSON

(Music Director)

Name:  Natalie Wilson (natty1427@yahoo.com)

Role at riverside:  interim worship director

Family:  Jason and I have been married for almost four years and we have a beautiful, spunky 10 month old named Amelia that keeps us hoppin'.

Education:  Bachelor of Educational Studies - Mizzou

Dream for Riverside:  That our congregation reflects Christ's amazing love and grace to anyone and everyone and that inside our doors is a place the truth is spoken, the worship is genuine and hearts are changed.

Favorite Quote:  "Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." Proverbs 31:9

I didn't use a Bible verse in an attempt to be spiritual, it's just a fabulous motto to live by.

Favorite Music:  Patty Griffin, Sara Groves, Beck, select songs from Outkast, Jay-Z and Kanye West, Arcade Fire, Butterfly Boucher, Caedmon's Call, Nichole Nordeman, Derek Webb, Feist, Amy Winehouse, Ben Folds, Waterdeep, David Crowder Band, Death Cab for Cutie, Imogen Heap, Matisyahu, Sarah McLachlan - guilty pleasures, Kelly Clarkson and Avril Lavigne.  Anything with skilled instrumentation, a good voice and thought provoking words, I'm there.

Heroes and Mentors:  Mentor:  Ethelyn Sparfeld, my amazing choir director who brought out so much potential in so many, lord rest her soul.  Heroes: Mother Theresa, cliche perhaps, but amazing none the less.  Anyone who can live selflessly.

What you're learning:  God is much bigger than my abilities and my mistakes.

Favorite Big Screen Moment:  Take yourself back to childhood.  The movie Homeward Bound.  Shadow, the old golden retriever has not come over the hill as Cassie and Chance did.  Peter looks longingly.  Still, no Shadow.  Shadow had fallen in a ditch the scene before.  We are now thinking the worst:  Shadow died in that ditch.  Peter says:  "He was too old...it was too far...he was just too old"  And then, slowly, limping, shadow appears on the hill.  Peter doesn't notice at first but then, they see each other.  Shadow is limping no more and he runs towards Peter. Peter is running to his dog, calling his name.  All is right with the world.
(You know you cried)

A few of my favorite things:  hiking with my dog, running when I'm in good shape, singing, watching movies, hearing new music, making my daughter belly laugh, going on a date with my husband, cooking amazing meals and sharing them.
