MOLLY
HOLEKAMP (Junior / Senior High Youth)
Name:
Molly Amanda Holekamp
(molly@riversidestl.org)
Role At Riverside
Church: My
role as the youth intern is to invest value and love to the young people
of our congregation. To live life with them and point them more toward
God.
Family:
My family is awesome, crazy and spontaneous. My mom, dad and older brother
live here in Saint Louis whish is such a blessing to be in the same place
with them again.
Education:
What High School did you go to? I graduated from Kirkwood high School
class of 2000. I went to Manhattan Christian college 2000-2003 in
Manhattan, Kansas. I am currently going to school at Missouri Baptist
university going toward a BA in Religious Education emphasis in
Counseling.
Dream for Riverside: That we would be a community that is committed to
the Gospel at all cost. That the young people of Riverside would be
encouraged to do great things that are outside the box for God. I want to
see our young people catapulted into the presence of God. (Hebrews
12:1-2). I want to be a part of their cloud. That the youth of this
congregation and generation would be one who doesn’t back down but pressed
forward into the raw beauty and comfort of the Gospel.
Favorite Quotes:
“God did not send His Son to condemn the world but to save the world
through Him.” John 3:17
“Every problem is a relationship problem.” Dean Sherman
“The experience of a warm, caring, affective presence banishes our fears.
The defense mechanisms (such as)…sarcasm, name-dropping,
self-righteousness, the need to impress others-fall away. We become more
open, real, vulnerable and affectionate. We grow tender.”- Brennan
Manning, Abba’s Child (NavPress, 1994)
Favorite Music:
Misty Edward, Jason
Upton, Shane and Shane, Chris Tomlin, John Shirley, Pink (at times),

Heroes and mentors:

What I am learning these
days: how to
be strategic in my ministry. I am learning about God’s security and
sovereignty. I am learning that I need to love more deeply.
